Hohner Rockwood Drum Set, black color Reviews 1

Bought new at a local music store, Needed an entry level kit for our church. Overpaid at $499 dollars.

It comes with everything you need to get started playing right out of the box.

Its a basic, cheap set, so it has all the basic probems. The bass drum pedal was horrible out of the box. The heads were of very cheap quality, and should be replaced immediately. the snare is horrible, it sounds bad, its made of real bad metal (rims bends easily) and the strainer becomes loose easily. Both of the plastic bass drum hoops became very bent out of shape, making tuning hard. and after a year, its been kept indoors at room temperature the whole time, but some of the wrapping is already peeling.

the double braced hardware is not strong. after a year, but the cymbal stand is about to collapse. one bass drum spur came off, its not made well at all. the throne is cheaply made also, but it holds you up. you get what you pay for on this one.

If your looking for an entry level set, stay away from the real cheap low end sets, and stick to popular brands. I feel stupid for buying this set when for a couple hundred bucks more i could have had a much better set. stick to the mid range 700 dollars plus for your first set, any cheaper its not worth it. These wont last you very long.
